Ellis Ludell is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our team and work closely with our Electrical Engineering Manager to support and expand our electrical and controls capabilities across industrial equipment. This is a hands‑on, high‑impact role focused on solving real‑world problems, improving systems, and supporting both engineering and production.

What You’ll Be DoingElectrical & Controls Engineering
- Design and support industrial control systems
- Create and review schematics, wiring diagrams, and panel layouts
- Work with PLCs (Allen‑Bradley), HMIs, VFDs, and instrumentation
- Troubleshoot electrical and controls issues in both production and field environments
- Support startup, commissioning, and system validation
- Spend time on the shop floor supporting builds and troubleshooting (~20–30%)
- Partner with production to resolve issues and keep projects moving
- Help improve consistency and quality in panel builds and wiring
- Work alongside the Electrical Engineering Manager and broader engineering team
- Provide guidance to technicians and panel builders as needed
- Support development of standards, documentation, and best practices
- Identify recurring issues and help implement long‑term solutions
- Support initiatives to improve reliability and performance
- Contribute to new product development and engineering improvements
Must‑Haves
- 8+ years of hands‑on electrical engineering experience
- Experience with:
- Control panels and wiring
- Industrial electrical systems
- Background in manufacturing, OEM equipment, or automation
- Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills
- Comfortable working both in the office and on the shop floor
- UL standards / industrial electrical codes
- Experience mentoring or supporting junior team members
- AutoCAD Electrical or similar tools
- You become a trusted technical resource within the team
- Electrical issues are resolved more efficiently
- Panel build quality and consistency improve
- You help strengthen the overall engineering function
