Job Description & How to Apply Below
Responsibilities
- You are the fourth engineer joining a three-person team, so you get real ownership from week one instead of waiting your turn.
- Half your week is continuous improvement work. This is not a pure firefighting seat.
- When a process needs a new tool, you design it, source it with the vendor, install it, and follow it through on the line. Start to finish, yours.
- The site is the fastest growing business of its kind in the region, with new equipment and new processes landing continuously.
- You report directly to the engineering manager who runs the floor. No layers between you and the decision.
- You have carried projects from scope through implementation and can point to exactly what you built.
- You are comfortable getting pulled onto a throughput problem in the morning and back onto your improvement project in the afternoon.
- You open Solid Works or AutoCAD without thinking about it.
- You would rather fix the root cause than log the symptom.
- If you want a mature plant where every process is already dialed in, or a seat where someone else owns the tooling, this is not your role.
- Daily production, process, and throughput support on a high volume line
- Root cause analysis and corrective action when something breaks
- Lean and continuous improvement projects that move cost, quality, and efficiency
- Tool and fixture design, vendor sourcing, build, install, and follow through
- Process changes, validation, and equipment qualification
- Work instructions and hands-on training for the operators who run your process
- A bachelor's degree in mechanical, manufacturing, or industrial engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience
- Three or more years of manufacturing engineering in a real production environment
- A track record of owning projects from scope through implementation
- Working knowledge of Solid Works or AutoCAD
- Hands-on Lean and continuous improvement experience
- Authorization to work in the United States without sponsorship, now or in the future
- You already live within commuting distance. This role is fully onsite and there is no relocation package.
- Semiconductor or electronics materials background, though any regulated high volume manufacturer is welcome here
- PFMEA, DOE, process validation, or process capability work
- Cleanroom or contamination control exposure
- $88,000 to $100,000 base, depending on experience
- Medical, dental, and vision insurance
- 401(k) with a company match
- PTO and holidays, plus paid parental leave
- Tuition reimbursement and professional development support
- Monday through Friday onsite, with occasional weekend support when production calls for it
- A 30 minute call with Pave Talent
- A one-on-one with the hiring manager
- An on-site interview with the engineering and operations leadership
