Corporate Accountant and Financial Analyst
Under the direction of the Manager, Strategic Planning and Performance Measurement,
Corporate Accountant and Financial Analyst will support month‑end and year‑end close processes, prepare journal entries, perform account reconciliations, and ensure accuracy of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. The analyst will assist in internal and external audits, maintain financial controls, and help ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies and regulatory requirements. Additionally, will participate in long‑term financial planning, capital allocation, investment analysis, and financial forecasting to support strategic decision‑making.
This Role, You Will
- Work with other Corporate Financial Analysts to complete the monthly financial close within established time frames, including:
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger accounts and journal entries for US entities
- Contribute to accounting for Contract Interiors and Architectural Solutions using Net Suite and Oracle Cloud
- Reconcile selected measures within the Global Data Warehouse
- Review the US reporting package and analyze specific accounts for reasonableness and accuracy; compare budgeted to actual amounts
- Review reporting packages from foreign subsidiaries and follow up with foreign teams on outstanding questions
- Assist with and review the monthly global consolidation, including elimination entries and intercompany transactions
- Assist financial controllers in subsidiary locations with general ledger system usage for monthly close and financial report writing.
- Support development of the annual budget, quarterly forecasts and long‑term strategic plan.
- Participate in annual financial statement audit, working with external auditors and preparing financial statement footnotes and supporting documentation.
- Prepare reports, financial models and analyze data for projects requested by executive leadership.
- Maintain financial reports in the general ledger system for changes in cost center and account structure.
- Participate in systems implementations.
- Assist in acquisition due diligence reviews and internal audit reviews.
- Evaluate and interpret operational and financial results using analytical tools to identify problems and trends.
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred; CPA is a plus.
- At least 2 years of relevant accounting and finance experience, preferably in a manufacturer or consumer products company.
- Advanced Excel skills, including development of financial models.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial statements, and corporate budgeting.
- Knowledge of general ledger maintenance and functionalities.
- Experience with Microsoft Office and Oracle for accounting and analysis.
- Excellent organization and time‑management skills.
The hiring range for this position in Itasca is $80,000 – $90,000 per year. Base pay will consider internal equity and may vary by geographic region, knowledge, skills and experience. An annual incentive may be provided, and a range of medical, financial and other benefits may be available depending on level and position.
