PST - Phlebotomist

Position Overview

Labcorp is seeking a Bilingual Phlebotomist to join our team at Access Des Plaines Valley located at 7450 W. 63rd Street., Summit, IL.

Work Schedule:

Monday‑Friday 8:30am – 5:00pm.

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests, etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information accurately and timely.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Perform administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program, or 3months or more experience as a phlebotomist.

• 1year or more of phlebotomy experience.
• 1year or more pediatric experience.

• Phlebotomy certification or training must come from an accredited agency.
• Proven track record in providing exceptional customer service.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to work independently or in a team environment.
• Comfortable working under minimal supervision.
• Reliable transportation.
• Flexibility to work overtime as needed.
• Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.

Pay Range: $17.75 – $24.50 per hour.

• For employees regularly scheduled at 20+ hours per week:
  Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, STD/LTD, 401(k), Paid Time Off (PTO) or Flexible Time Off (FTO), Tuition Reimbursement, Employee Stock Purchase Plan.
• For employees scheduled < 20 hours, Casual, Intern, Temporary: 401(k) Plan only.
• Employees on a 7 on/7 off schedule: all benefits except PTO/FTO.
