Schedule:
Candidates will need to be available to work 6AM to 7:30 PM depending location they are covering. Will also need to be available for Saturday hours from 8AM to 12PM.
Projected duration: 3 months + potential for perm.

Pay range: $21.10- $23.10.
SummaryThe main function of a phlebotomist is to assist in performing various assigned duties, troubleshoot, train and make workflow recommendations.
Position Responsibilities- Experience performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data, decontamination, updating patient information.
- Collect and store specimens according to established procedures.
- Explain the process of venipuncture and other specimen collection clearly and courteously.
- Demonstrate technique using straight and butterfly needles.
- Fully understand all physicians' orders and match laboratory requisition forms to specimen tubes.
- Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order.
- Check all test requisitions or computer labels against scripts to ensure 100% correct.
- Package specimens for transport and store them at required temperatures.
- Follow different procedures as outlined by specific protocols to maintain specimen integrity during transport.
- Understand and comply with OSHA and DEP regulations.
- Attend annual department trainings.
- Answer telephone calls and read laboratory results to satisfy inquiries.
- Valid Phlebotomy certification for the state where you will be employed.
- Minimum of 6 months' work experience performing venipunctures in a fast-paced lab or hospital setting.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- High School Diploma or GED.
