Job DescriptionThe Benefits & Total Rewards Manager plays a key role in shaping and delivering the organization’s total rewards strategy. This position is responsible for overseeing benefits administration, supporting compensation programs, and ensuring regulatory compliance while providing a positive and transparent employee experience. The role combines strategic planning with hands-on execution and works closely with HR leadership, Finance, Legal, and external vendors.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, retirement, life and disability insurance, and leave programs.
- Serve as the primary liaison with benefits vendors and brokers, ensuring effective service delivery, issue resolution, and cost management.
- Ensure benefit plans comply with applicable regulations such as ERISA, COBRA, HIPAA, FMLA, and related reporting requirements.
- Manage benefits budgeting, invoicing, audits, and regulatory filings in partnership with Finance and Legal.
- Respond to employee benefit questions with accuracy, empathy, and timely follow-up.
- Evaluate benefits competitiveness through benchmarking, surveys, and market analysis, and recommend enhancements as needed.
- Lead benefit-related communications, including open enrollment materials, wellness initiatives, intranet content, and educational programs.
- Prepare and distribute annual Total Rewards Statements and support ongoing employee education.
- Partner with HR leadership on compensation program administration aligned with the company’s total rewards philosophy.
- Conduct compensation analysis and market pricing to support equitable and competitive pay practices.
- Support annual merit and salary review cycles and provide guidance on offers, promotions, and internal pay decisions.
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in benefits and/or total rewards management.
- Strong knowledge of benefits compliance and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with compensation analysis and salary administration processes.
- Proven ability to work cross-functionally with HR, Finance, Legal, and external vendors.
- Strong analytical, communication, and project management skills.
- Combination of strategic planning and hands-on program execution
