Systems & Technical Trainer

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a Systems & Technical Trainer. The role delivers training in the assigned region and works with the curriculum development team to improve and refine training program content while supporting other divisional objectives as management assigns. The trainer possesses hardware technical expertise and provides training classes supporting internal and external customers.

This position requires full-time presence at your assigned office(s)/worksite(s)/territory.

Salary range: $54,460 - $81,550 annually.

Your Impact
  • Deliver training in the assigned region, working with the curriculum development team to improve and refine training program content and supporting other divisional objectives as management assigns.
  • Possess hardware technical expertise and provide training classes supporting internal and external customers.
  • Work with the Senior Systems & Technical Trainer during the evolution process to ensure consistent delivery meeting department standards.
  • Provide coaching and constructive feedback to students to ensure support professionals efficiently meet course requirements.
  • Conduct dealer visits, discuss training needs and acquire feedback from dealers on current training programs and systems.
  • Seek out new development areas, research competitor programs and coordinate information with other trainers to implement key initiatives that enhance Canon’s image as a training leader.
  • Visit key dealers with or without the Education Support Services Specialist and assist in evaluating dealer training needs.
  • Promote educational services training initiatives and programs (e.g., ATSP).
  • Ensure accuracies of all training delivery programs in the regional training center.
  • Possess specialized knowledge or skills in a particular functional area.
  • A developing professional, working toward full proficiency in the role.
  • Receive general instruction from manager on expected work outcomes and exercise good judgment in day-to-day matters.
  • Typically report to a Manager or Senior Manager, or to a senior professional individual contributor when business needs dictate.
About You:

The Skills & Expertise You Bring
  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (Finance, Mathematics, Engineering, or MIS discipline) or equivalent experience required, plus 3 to 5 years of related experience.
  • Strong analytical and communications skills and thorough knowledge of MS Office; functional knowledge of other analytical tools and report creation technologies preferred.
  • Must be proficient in all learning and training technology and systems to ensure quality feedback to students and to the curriculum development team.
  • Additionally must support other trainers in understanding and using the training technology.
