Overview

The Manager, Information Security Operations leads, manages, and continuously improves the organization’s security operations function. Provides strategic and operational leadership for the information security analyst team and is accountable for the effectiveness, maturity, and alignment of security operations with business objectives and risk tolerance. Drives incident response readiness, security monitoring, risk reduction initiatives, tooling strategy, and operational metrics, while partnering closely with IT leadership and business stakeholders.

Ensures that security operations support enterprise goals while enabling the business to operate confidently and securely.

Responsibilities
  • Provide managerial leadership for Information Security Operations, setting direction, priorities, and performance expectations for the security analyst team. Manage staffing, workload planning, onboarding, training, and professional development for the security operations team.
  • Responsible for the operational security program, including security monitoring, incident response, vulnerability management, and threat detection. Accountable for timely, effective, and consistent response to security incidents, including executive communication and post-incident reporting. Develop and maintain the security operations roadmap, ensuring tools, processes, and staffing align with current and emerging threats.
  • Support internal and external audits by ensuring operational controls are effective, documented, and followed.

  • Lead the evaluation, selection, implementation, and lifecycle management of security operations tools (e.g., SIEM, EDR, vulnerability management platforms). Make risk‑based decisions regarding incident handling, escalation, containment, and remediation activities.
  • Partner with the Senior Director, Information Security to define, measure, and report on KPIs, KRIs, and operational risk metrics. Contribute to budget planning, forecasting, and cost optimization for security operations tools and services.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education

• Bachelor's Degree in Information Security, Information Technology, or a related field (required) or

• Master's Degree in Cybersecurity, Business Administration, or related discipline (preferred)

Experience

• 5+ years including global/multinational environments, proven leadership of cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams (required) and

• 2+ years of experience in logistics, transportation, or other highly regulated, asset‑heavy industries (required)

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Strong background in cybersecurity frameworks (e.g., NIST, ISO 27001), governance, and operations. Medium

• Proven leadership of cross‑functional and geographically distributed teams. Medium

• Experience with IAM systems, SIEM platforms, and vulnerability management tools. Medium
