Overview

The Vice President, IT Business Systems Delivery is responsible for executing and operationalizing the global IT strategy defined by the Chief Information Officer (CIO), ensuring delivery of business systems and application solutions that enable AIT’s growth and operational excellence. This role translates strategic priorities into executable plans, leads global delivery teams, and ensures alignment, accountability, and results across the technology portfolio.

Responsibilities
  • Translate CIO‑defined IT strategy into executable roadmaps, delivery plans, and measurable outcomes. Lead execution of a global portfolio of business systems and application initiatives, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and delivery outcomes across all initiatives.
  • Establish and enforce delivery governance, standards, and execution discipline across teams. Drive accountability for timelines, quality, and business value realization. Manage prioritization, dependencies, and trade‑offs across initiatives to optimize delivery outcomes. Provide transparency to the CIO and executive leadership on delivery performance, risks, and progress.
  • Partner with vendors and third‑party partners, including selection, negotiation, and performance oversight.
  • Build and lead high‑performing global delivery teams while driving continuous improvement across processes, tools, methodologies, and mergers & acquisitions integration efforts, providing support for IT due diligence and system integration.
  • Collaborate with enterprise architecture to ensure solutions align with strategic direction, standards, and long‑term roadmaps.
  • Lead financial planning and management for application delivery, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost optimization.
  • Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes, tools, and methodologies, including Agile and Dev Ops.
  • Act as a key advisor to the CIO and executive leadership by providing insight into delivery feasibility, risks, and execution considerations.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

  • The wage range for this position is $ - $ and may vary based on geography as well as relative knowledge, skills, abilities, and experience.
Education
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (required).
  • Master’s Degree in a related field (preferred).
Experience
  • 15+ years experience in information technology, including senior leadership roles (required).
  • 15+ years experience leading global teams and managing people leaders (required).
  • 15+ years experience in logistics, supply chain, or global operations environments (required).
  • Experience leading global IT delivery organizations and executing large‑scale technology initiatives (required).
  • Proven track record of executing large‑scale technology strategies and delivering enterprise‑wide solutions (required).
  • Experience managing complex portfolios, stakeholders, and cross‑functional initiatives (required).
  • Experience with mergers and acquisitions and IT due diligence (required).
  • Experience with Agile, Dev Ops, and modern product delivery practices (required).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and executive influencing skills.
  • Strong financial acumen, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost management.
  • Advanced knowledge of enterprise systems, application platforms, and modern development tools.
  • Ability to apply deep expertise across application delivery, enterprise systems, and execution of technology strategies.
  • Resolve highly complex, enterprise‑level problems requiring strategic judgment and execution leadership.
  • Proven track record of executing large‑scale technology strategies and delivering enterprise‑wide solutions.
  • Ability to lead multiple teams, including senior managers and directors, across global locations.
  • Experience managing complex portfolios, stakeholders, and cross‑functional initiatives.
Licenses and Certifications
  • Certified Project Management Professional (PMP) – PMI, or similar (preferred).
