Ocean Import Specialist

Job Title

Duties and responsibilities:

• Daily maintenance and tracking and tracing of international shipments
• Professional communication with truckers, warehouses, steamship lines, and other forwarders on a daily basis.
• Maintain/update client information and SOP's
• Punctual daily follow up of all inquiries from customers, agents and MAO offices
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (both verbal and written)
• Provide excellent customer service to ensure customer issues are resolved.
• Coordinate sea freight forwarding of international shipments from door to door.
• Maintain/update client information; change in contact, special instructions, and any other specific requirements.
• Daily interactions and reporting to local management.
• Ensuring accurate and timely client and vendors billing within company guidelines and timelines.
• Negotiate cost-effective rates with service providers to ensure maximum profitability.

Education:

• High School or better.

Experience:

• 3 years:
  Freight Forwarding
