Carrier Sales Coordinator

Minimum 1 year of proven experience in carrier sales required.

Precision Freight is seeking a driven and results-oriented Carrier Sales Coordinator to join our growing team. This role is focused on sourcing and securing reliable carrier capacity, negotiating competitive rates, and building strong carrier relationships that help keep our customers' freight moving.

The ideal candidate has experience in the transportation or logistics industry and understands the importance of service, communication, and reliability.

You’ll work closely with Account Executives and Operations to match the right carrier and ensure smooth, on-time delivery.

• Source and secure reliable carrier capacity for customer shipments.
• Match shipments with the right carrier, equipment, and service level across truckload, expedited, LTL, and specialized freight.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and owner-operators while expanding our network.
• Negotiate carrier rates while balancing service, market conditions, and shipment profitability.
• Monitor shipments, communicate proactively, and respond quickly to delays, breakdowns, tracking issues, and other service exceptions.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and Operations to improve service, pricing, carrier performance, and profitability.

• Minimum 1 year of Carrier Sales, freight brokerage, or similar experience.
• Experience sourcing capacity, negotiating rates, and building carrier relationships.
• Strong understanding of domestic transportation, including full truckload and expedited freight.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to work with urgency, manage multiple priorities, and make informed decisions.
• Experience with TMS, load boards, tracking tools, and carrier compliance.

Compensation:
Base salary plus commission and bonuses.
