The Regional Safety Manager (RSM) will oversee and enhance the safety culture within the Premi Star organization across designated business units (BU). This role requires a proactive leader who will supervise local health and Safety Professionals (SPs) and Safety Champions (SCs), ensuring they have the support and resources needed to promote a safe work environment. The Regional Safety Manager will provide critical support to the regional business unit (BU) and the BU leadership team, implementing health and safety policies, engaging with regulatory agencies, and driving risk assessment and mitigation initiatives.
This position will report to the Premi Star Director of Safety and involves up to 50% travel to various sites within the assigned region.
- When feasible conduct and complete Pre-Qualification Assessments on potential BUs
- Develop 30,60, 60,90-day safety action initiatives for newly acquired BUs
- Assist BU with achieving compliance with Premi Star standards
- Provide technical support and guidance to regional teams and safety champions.
- Stay updated on industry best practices and emerging safety trends.
- Collaborate with designated business units to ensure adherence to safety standards and practices.
- Act as a resource for Safety Professionals (SPs) and Safety Champions (SCs) in promoting a safe work environment.
- Lead the development and execution of health and safety policies and procedures.
- Monitor compliance and recommend improvements as needed.
- Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory agencies.
- Coordinate emergency response efforts and ensure preparedness across the region.
- Conduct comprehensive risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
- Develop and implement mitigation strategies to minimize risks.
- Support the design and delivery of safety training programs.
- Conduct compliance audits and inspections to ensure adherence to safety regulations.
- Participating in the hiring of SPs/SCs
- Support the enhancement of the skill sets for Business Unit SCs/SPs
- Analyze safety data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Prepare reports for senior management and stakeholders.
- High School Diploma (or GED or High School Equivalence Certificate) required
- Preferred Degree in Occupational Health and Safety or relevant field or equivalent work experience
- 7+ years of relevant experience in health and safety in manufacturing or service industries
- Certified Safety Professional required
- Ability to work independently or with others.
- Organized and detail oriented.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Personal computer skills, and knowledge of Microsoft Office including intermediate to advanced Excel Physical Demands.

WORK ENVIRONMENT- This job operates in both an office and a field environment. Must be able to sit and/or stand for extended periods of time. Ability to go on-site, go on rooftops or other locations where work is being performed.
- This job operates in a professional office environment as well as on-site job locations. Domestic travel about 25% - 30%
