Facilities and Construction Manager Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Oversee all maintenance, repair, and operational functions for corporate office and warehouse facilities.
• Lead the end-to-end construction and development of new retail store locations nationwide, from planning and permitting through project completion and opening.
• Drive project execution by managing construction schedules, milestones, and critical deadlines to ensure on-time store rollouts.
• Manage and maintain relationships with landlords, general contractors, building vendors, service providers, and architects.
• Negotiate construction, service, and facility-related contracts while managing project budgets and controlling costs.
• Oversee access control systems, security cameras, alarms, badge access, etc.
• Collaborate with internal Japanese stakeholders for brand expectations and guidelines.
• Develop and implement maintenance programs to ensure optimal building performance.

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, facilities management, engineering, or a related field.
• Strong knowledge of new retail development and remodeling, commercial building systems, construction management, permitting and regulatory requirements, tenant improvements, project scheduling, and contract negotiation.
• Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multiple concurrent projects across different geographic regions while meeting deadlines, budgets, and brand quality standards.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management, with the ability to collaborate effectively across cross-functional teams and external partners.
• Proven experience managing general contractors, architects, consultants, vendors, and other third-party partners throughout the construction and facilities lifecycle.
• Must be willing to travel up to 50%, depending on retail store opening timeline.

• Experience working with Japanese stakeholders and/or global partners.
• Familiarity working in fast-paced environments.
• Certifications – Certified Facility Manager (CFM), Certified Construction Manager (CCM) are pluses.
• Japanese language skill is a plus.
