Job Description
ITW offers a competitive salary, comprehensive benefits, and advancement opportunities. The Production facility is located at 1349 W. Bryn Mawr Ave, Itasca, IL.
Shift: 2nd Shift, Monday – Friday, 2:00 pm – 10:30 pm. First three months of training may occur on various shifts with flexible hours between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm, Monday – Friday.
Responsibilities- Operate fastener manufacturing equipment to produce according to quality specifications in an efficient and safe manner.
- Perform quality checks in adherence to specification sheets and document results.
- Follow documented quality procedures and SOPs.
- Drive safety practices, including identifying safety hazards.
- Ensure all housekeeping and 6S activities are performed.
- Collaborate with team members and participate in team events and meetings.
- Perform general housekeeping duties.
- Other duties as assigned.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- At least one year of experience in high-volume manufacturing highly preferred (e.g., equipment setup/operation/changeover, use of measurement tools, preventive maintenance).
- Willingness to work assigned shift with some overtime, including weekends.
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to understand basic machinery.
- Prior experience with hand tools (e.g., wrenches).
- Ability to recognize and identify parts, problems, and offer resolution.
- Ability to read blueprints/specification sheets and follow instructions or willingness to learn.
- Must be able to work in a team environment.
- Must have reliable transportation as the job may require travel between Roselle and Itasca facilities.
- Successfully complete on‑the‑job training (blueprint reading, measurement tools).
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The work environment includes exposure to fumes from cleaning solutions or adhesives, heat and dust, climate variances, and moving mechanical equipment typical of a manufacturing setting. Noise levels are high in manufacturing areas. Personal protective equipment such as glasses, ear plugs, and steel‑toe shoes is required. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
Physical DemandsRegular use of hands for finger, handle or feel; frequent walking, standing, talking, hearing, reaching with hands and arms, and occasional sitting. Lifting or moving up to 50 pounds is required, and work may be performed in small machine cell areas. Close vision and adjustment of focus are specific vision requirements.
CompensationHourly base salary of $20.00, plus a $3.00 shift differential. Salary decisions consider scope and responsibilities, candidate experience, education, training, skills, and market conditions.
