Job Title: TIG Welder – Stainless Steel
Location: Roselle, IL 60172
Pay: $28.00 – $33.00/hr
Shift: 1st Shift | Monday–Friday
Job Type: Contract to Hire (6 months, strong likelihood of permanent conversion)
About the Role
A well-established manufacturing company in Roselle, IL is looking for an experienced TIG Welder to join their team on a contract-to-hire basis. This is a clean, modern shop environment with a great culture and long-tenured employees. In this role you will primarily TIG weld stainless steel frames and components, working from blueprints to fit, tack, and complete final welds to a high standard of quality.
There is a clear path to progress into pipe and tube welding as you grow in the role.
What You'll Be Doing
- Interpret dimensional drawings and gather and cut materials to specification
- Set up and square off work pieces; perform tack welds for supervisor approval
- Complete final TIG welds on stainless steel frames and components ensuring clean, smooth, and structurally sound results
- Grind and polish welds using an angle grinder
- Operate a horizontal band saw to cut steel frames
- Drill and mill mounting holes as needed
- Apply solid math skills to ensure frames are tacked accurately per blueprint dimensions
What We're Looking For
- 3+ years of TIG welding (GTAW) experience — stainless steel is required
- Ability to read blueprints and use tape measures, levels, and squares for fit-up and tacking
- Experience grinding and polishing welds with an angle grinder
- Ability to operate a horizontal band saw
- Ability to drill and mill mounting holes
- Able to lift 50+ lbs and stand for extended periods
- Reliable attendance — not a job hopper
Nice to Have
- Experience with pipe and tube welding
- Experience welding X-Ray Tested Pipe

Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must have hands-on TIG welding experience — candidates without TIG welding experience will not be considered
- Must be open to contract-to-hire and occasional overtime (5-10 hours per week)
