As a CMM / Poly Works Arm Operator
, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring large, complex CNC‑machined components meet exact blueprint and customer specifications. Your work directly impacts quality, delivery, and customer confidence.
In this role, you will:
- Set up and operate CMMs and Hexagon Poly Works Arms to inspect machined components
- Perform visual and dimensional inspections on large, complex parts
- Interpret blueprints, GD&T, and engineering specifications
- Generate and maintain accurate inspection and dimensional reports
- Coordinate inspection results with Production Managers and Engineering
- Ensure all inspection documentation is complete, accurate, and compliant
This is a hands‑on inspection role where accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail matter.

- Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM)
- Hexagon Poly Works Inspection Arms
Software
- Poly Works
- Calypso Zeiss
Measurement Tools
- Precision hand tools and standard inspection instruments
Required
- 1–3 years of experience in a metrology or inspection environment
- Strong ability to read blueprints and GD&T
- Experience using CMMs and/or Poly Works Arms
- Familiarity with ISO and AS9100 quality systems
- Comfortable working with precision measuring tools
- Able to work independently and document results accurately
Preferred (Not Required)
- Experience with Calypso Zeiss software
- Working knowledge of AutoCAD, Solid Works, or 3D modeling
- Exposure to large‑part machining environments
- Aluminum
