Engine Test Technician

Wage Range: $33.28 - $35.19/hour + overtime when required

Summary:

Under the direction of the Engineering Supervisor, the Engineering Technician III supports the engine calibration and test engineering teams to develop and execute tests, install, and operate test articles and equipment, collect data associated with engine calibration development, engine validation testing, and component testing.

Essential Responsibilities:

* Installation of test articles (engines and components) onto test stands, including the fabrication of test fixtures, mounting, adapting hardware, and fluid systems for efficient diagnostic operation

* Operation of engines in test cells running manual and automated test cycles to diagnose and troubleshoot engine, electrical, and test cell instrumentation during test programs

* Perform engine builds, maintenance, engine teardown, and inspection to complete and record precision engine measurements

* Utilize PSI computer software to update the data acquisition system to specified test parameters and submit timely, concise test reports indicating test setup, testing methods, and data summary

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to investigate product/manufacturing process issues and assist in developing solutions

* Perform preventative maintenance of lab equipment

* As needed, lift and/or carry up to 40 pounds of materials to assist in production

* Learn and execute team lifts for items over 40 pounds

* Adhere to all safety procedures ,including the use of personal protective equipment, navigating the plant with alert behavior, operating power tools and machines according to instructions, and disposing of waste properly

* All other duties as assigned by management
