Position Summary
Our Material Handling Group is seeking a full‑time Parts Coordinator for our Itasca, IL location. The expected hourly pay ranges from $24–$28 per hour based on overall candidate experience.

- Process parts purchases and sales
- Actively sell parts and ask for the sale
- Ensure customer satisfaction, including internal customers
- Check in, unpack and put away delivered parts
- Pick, package and prepare parts for delivery
- Maintain department order and cleanliness
- Assist in physical inventory counts
- Incorporate Alta's Guiding Principles into daily activities
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Consistent, regular, and reliable attendance including being ready for work at the designated start time
- At least one year of heavy equipment, auto, or truck parts counter experience (desired)
- High school diploma or GED
- Basic mechanical understanding and ability to identify parts of industry‑related equipment by sight and name
- Excellent communication skills and professionalism
- Equipment operation: forklift experience and hydraulic hose making preferred
- Basic language skills: read, comprehend, and write simple instructions and correspondence; present information in one‑on‑one and small group settings to customers, clients, and employees
- Basic mathematical skills: add, subtract, multiply, divide with two‑digit numbers and with amounts of money and basic units of weight, volume, and distance
- Basic reasoning: apply common sense to carry out detailed written or oral instructions; solve problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
- Hands and eye use regularly; talk/hear frequently; sit, stand, walk, reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally
- Vision: see close and at a distance, depth perception, adjust focus, see color
- Lift: frequently lift up to 25 lbs; occasionally lift 26–100+ lbs
- Work environment: occasionally near moving mechanical parts
