Slitter Operator / Roll Changer

Join a leading printing and pouch manufacturing company as a Slitter Operator / Roll changer. In this role, you will play a key part in producing high-quality materials that meet customer specifications.

What you will do:

• Operate slitting machines to cut large rolls into smaller, precise widths
• Inspect materials to ensure quality standards are met
• Set up machines and adjust settings for production runs
• Handle materials and prepare finished products for shipment
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean work area

Pay and Schedule

• Pay: $17.00 per hour
• Schedule:
  
  Monday through Friday, 6am to 1:45 pm
• Overtime available
• Job Type: Temp-to-Hire

Slitter Operator – 1st Shift Duties

• Set up and operate slitting machines to cut plastic or paper rolls
• Read and follow work orders and job specifications
• Adjust machine settings such as blade position, speed, and tension
• Inspect materials before and after processing to ensure quality
• Monitor production and make adjustments as needed
• Perform basic machine maintenance and cleaning
• Label and package finished products accurately
• Record production data and material usage
• Follow all safety guidelines and use proper protective equipment
• Work with team members to resolve production issues

Who Should Apply for the Slitter Operator – 1st Shift

• 1 or more years of manufacturing or general labor experience preferred
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as needed
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team

Location

Itasca, Illinois. Reliable transportation required.
