We're hiring a Senior Receiving Specialist for a company in Itasca, IL. The Senior Receiving Specialist plays a vital role in ensuring the accurate and efficient receipt of materials supporting industrial equipment manufacturing. Senior Receiving Specialist Responsibilities:

• Receive, inspect and verify incoming materials against purchase orders, packing slips, bills of lading, and other documentation to ensure accuracy and conformance
• Process receipts accurately within the ERP system (currently Qantel, with future upgrades planned) and support data integrity during ERP transitions
• Identify, resolve, and document shortages, damages, incorrect shipments, and discrepancies, coordinating with Purchasing, Inventory Control, Production, and Quality departments
• Perform inventory transactions, materials put-away, and location control accurately; support cycle counting and discrepancy resolution efforts
• Support production flow by staging materials and maintaining organized, clean, and safe storage and receiving areas, adhering to 5S standards
• Operate forklifts and overhead cranes safely to move incoming materials, following all safety procedures and protocols
• Proactively identify and resolve receiving issues to prevent disruptions to production, taking ownership and driving resolutions with urgency
• Maintain a safe work environment, supporting safety procedures and PPE compliance in an industrial setting
• Assist with continuous improvement initiatives related to receiving accuracy, organization, and process discipline

Requirements for Senior Receiving Specialist:

• At least five years of receiving experience within a manufacturing environment, with strong background in handling industrial components and mechanical assemblies
• Proficiency processing transactions in ERP systems; experience with Qantel or similar systems preferred
• Ability to read and interpret receiving documentation, purchase orders, packing slips, and part documentation accurately
• Forklift certification and experience, with overhead crane operation skills
• Demonstrated strong inventory accuracy, material control discipline, and attention to detail
• High sense of urgency, accountability, and ownership in managing tasks and resolving issues
• Ability to lift and handle 40+ pounds frequently throughout the shift
• Experience in OEM, custom equipment, or industrial manufacturing settings preferred
• Background supporting high-mix/low-volume manufacturing environments preferred
• Knowledge of inventory control best practices, continuous improvement, and 5S principles preferred
• Experience supporting ERP system transitions or working within multiple ERP platforms preferred
• Experience in industrial manufacturing environment with large equipment and machinery
