2nd Shift Punch Press Machine Operator
Location:
Addison, IL Pay: $24.10 per hour Shift: 2nd shift Job Type: Full-Time Experience Level: Entry-Level / 0-2 Years
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Production operator to join our manufacturing team in Addison, IL. In this role, you will operate production equipment, assemble and package products, inspect finished goods, and help maintain a safe, clean, and efficient production environment. The ideal candidate is dependable, safety-conscious, willing to learn, and takes pride in producing high-quality work.
- Operate production equipment according to standard work instructions and procedures.
- Load and unload materials, components, and finished products.
- Perform assembly, machine operation, packaging, and other manufacturing activities.
- Inspect products to ensure they meet quality requirements and specifications.
- Complete production records and documentation accurately.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area following 5S Principles.
- Assist with equipment changeovers and basic machine setup activities.
- Monitor equipment performance and report operational, quality, or safety concerns.
- Follow all company safety policies, procedures, and work practices.
- Work with the team to achieve daily production, quality, and efficiency goals.
- Reliable, punctual, and committed to consistent attendance.
- Team player who takes pride in their work.
- Ability to carefully follow written and verbal instructions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Willingness to learn new skills and adapt to changing production needs.
- Comfortable working in a hands-on manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- 0-2 years of manufacturing, production, or related experience.
- Basic math and measurement skills.
- Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
- Experience using hand tools or basic manufacturing equipment is a plus.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills are preferred.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
- Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50lbs.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
- Ability to work in a manufacturing environment with noise, dust, and varying temperatures.
