Tech-Max Machine is a precision CNC machining company located in Itasca, IL. We specialize in machining large parts with extensive capabilities in CNC Turning, Milling, Boring, Wire EDM and Mechanical Assembly Services.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a Quality Technician to be responsible for dimensionally inspecting machined components to blueprint dimensions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform visual and dimensional inspections on machined parts
Prepare inspection reports from drawings, customer and engineering specifications
Coordinate inspections with Production Managers and Engineering team
Ensure all required inspection report documentation is accurately completed and compiled
Ability to verify gages are in calibration
Maintain safe working environment
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs

Requirements:

Position requires the applicant be a US Person or Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder)
High school education preferred
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience working in metrology lab
Ability to efficiently use the majority of the following tools: bore gages, gage blocks, Pi tapes, ultrasonic thickness gage, optical comparator, sine plate, precision square, hardness tester, paint thickness gage, Micro-Hite (advance functions), angle plates (right angle and thread), thread gages, thread wires, inside and outside micrometers, Coordinating Measuring Machine (CMM-advanced functions), and profilometer
Working knowledge of ISO and AS9100 Quality Management Systems
Excellent knowledge of GD&T of blueprint reading
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, 3D modeling, and Solidworks a plus
Knowledge and familiarity working in a fast-paced machine shop environment
Excellent math skills, especially algebra and trigonometry
