Quality Assurance Manager / Head of Quality

Major Die & Engineering Co. has been a trusted manufacturing partner for more than 70 years, delivering precision tooling and engineered solutions to industrial customers nationwide. As we continue supporting a growing customer base, we're seeking a hands‑on Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality function and help drive operational excellence.

This is a highly visible leadership opportunity where you'll work directly with ownership, production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to ensure products consistently meet the highest quality standards.

What You'll Do
  • Own and maintain the ISO 9001 Quality Management System
  • Lead internal and external audits, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Drive root cause analysis and resolution of quality issues using 8D methodologies and CAR processes
  • Manage PPAP submissions and customer quality requirements
  • Review technical drawings, specifications, metrology data, and inspection results
  • Partner closely with production and engineering teams to improve quality and efficiency
  • Train team members on quality standards, procedures, and best practices
  • Support supplier quality and customer‑facing quality initiatives
What We’re Looking For
  • Experience in a Quality Manager, Quality Assurance Manager, Head of Quality, Quality Supervisor, or related manufacturing quality leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge of ISO 9001 systems and audits
  • Experience with PPAP Level 3/4 submissions
  • Familiarity with 8D problem solving and Corrective Action Reports (CARs)
  • Knowledge of metrology, inspection processes, and reading technical drawings
  • Manufacturing experience in tooling, machining, metal fabrication, engineered products, automotive, aerospace, industrial manufacturing, or related environments
  • Leadership mindset with the ability to influence teams and drive accountability
  • $30-$40/hour DOE
