Precision Freight is looking for an experienced, hands-on Freight Brokerage Sales Manager to lead and develop our Account Executives and Business Development Representatives while personally driving new shipper acquisition.
This is not a sit-behind-the-dashboard management position. We are looking for someone who enjoys being involved in the day-to-day sales process — coaching reps, reviewing pipelines, helping close deals, holding the team accountable, and building their own book of new business.

Your ImpactAs a Sales Manager, you will be responsible for both team performance and personal production

You will set expectations, coach the team daily, monitor activity and pipeline, help Account Executives and BDRs advance opportunities, and personally develop new shipper relationships.
Your success will directly impact Precision’s revenue growth, gross margin, sales culture, and continued expansion.
What You’ll Do- Directly manage and coach Account Executives and Business Development Representatives.
- Set clear individual and team expectations for sales activity, pipeline, revenue, and gross margin.
- Review daily and weekly activity including calls, meetings, opportunities, quotes, wins, load count, revenue, and gross margin.
- Conduct regular 1-on-1s, pipeline reviews, call coaching, and deal strategy sessions.
- Identify performance gaps early and create clear plans for improvement and accountability.
- Personally prospect, develop, and close new shipper accounts.
- Lead from the front by maintaining your own active sales pipeline.
- Assist Account Executives and BDRs with negotiations, objections, pricing strategy, and closing difficult opportunities.
- Drive new shipper acquisition through outbound prospecting, networking, referrals, and strategic outreach.
- Expand existing accounts through additional lanes, services, and opportunities.
- Build and maintain a structured, repeatable sales process.
- Manage CRM activity, pipeline accuracy, and sales forecasting.
- Recruit, hire, onboard, and develop additional sales talent as the organization grows.
- Partner closely with Account Management, Carrier Sales, and Operations to ensure strong execution and customer service.
- Forecast weekly and monthly sales performance and communicate results to executive leadership.
- Build long-term partnerships with key customers and protect major revenue relationships.
- 5+ years of freight brokerage or logistics sales experience.
- Proven ability to personally prospect and close new shipper business.
- 2+ years of experience directly managing, coaching, or developing sales professionals.
- Proven history of meeting or exceeding revenue and gross margin targets.
- Strong understanding of freight brokerage sales cycles and customer acquisition.
- Strong negotiation, objection-handling, and closing skills.
- Experience selling truckload, flatbed, expedited, or specialized freight.
- Strong understanding of spot market and contract freight pricing.
- Experience managing CRM systems, sales pipelines, activity metrics, and forecasting.
- Ability to establish structure, enforce accountability, and improve individual performance.
- Comfortable addressing underperformance directly and coaching employees toward measurable improvement.
- Ability and willingness to operate as a player-coach — managing the team while continuing to sell personally.
- Existing shipper relationships or an established industry network are a strong advantage.
