The position also helps translate regulatory and operational requirements into practical actions that strengthen compliance and promote a proactive safety culture across the business. Assist with the implementation of company policies, standards, and procedures related to occupational safety, physical security, regulatory compliance, and risk reduction. Help maintain program documentation, records, trackers, and reporting tools to ensure consistency and audit readiness. Support the development of practical, scalable solutions to strengthen safety and security performance across stations and regions.
  • Incident Management & Investigation: Receive, review, and track safety and security incidents, near misses, and hazard reports. Assist with incident investigations by gathering facts, reviewing evidence, interviewing involved personnel, identifying contributing factors, and supporting root cause analysis. Track corrective and preventive actions to closure and follow up with stakeholders on implementation status and effectiveness. Prepare summaries, trend reports, and lessons learned to support leadership review and continuous improvement.
  • Risk Assessment, Inspections & Audits: Conduct or support routine inspections, hazard assessments, and security reviews in warehouse, transportation, and office settings. Identify unsafe conditions, unsafe behaviors, and security vulnerabilities; document findings clearly and recommend corrective actions. Support internal audits and readiness reviews by maintaining organized records, evidence, and compliance documentation. Monitor recurring issues and escale significant risks, overdue actions, or systemic concerns.

These responsibilities are consistent with AIT's existing safety/security role expectations, including investigations, inspections, corrective actions, and audit support.
  • Compliance & Regulatory Support: Assist in monitoring applicable health, safety, transportation, and security requirements at the local, state, federal, and international levels. • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze safety and security data to identify trends, recurring issues, high-risk activities, and opportunities for preventive action. Maintain dashboards, KPI trackers, incident logs, inspection data, training records, and corrective action reports. Prepare monthly, quarterly, and ad hoc reports for leadership, operations, and functional stakeholders. Support the development of metrics related to incident frequency, near misses, training completion, audit findings, and corrective action closure rates.
