About Our Client: Addison Group is hiring for our client, a well-established company that supports nationwide shipping operations. This team manages high-value, time-sensitive freight and plays a critical role in maintaining customer satisfaction and operational excellence.
Job Description: Our client is seeking a Customer Service and Operations Representative to join their high-value operations team. This role supports critical shipments and works closely with internal teams, drivers, and logistics partners to ensure seamless execution. This is an open-ended contract role with strong potential for permanent hire.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor, manage, and track high-value shipments from pickup through final delivery
- Provide real-time shipment updates and proactive communication to internal stakeholders
- Coordinate closely with drivers, dispatchers, and operations teams
- Create and process shipping documents including BOLs and Proof of Delivery
- Work across multiple inboxes and systems to manage high-volume shipment activity
- Enter and maintain accurate shipment data within transportation management systems
- Participate in virtual meetings with cross-functional teams
- Escalate service issues and resolve delivery challenges quickly
- Maintain detailed tracking logs and provide hourly shipment updates
- Deliver high-touch service in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- 1–2+ years of experience in freight brokerage, 3PL, or transportation operations
- Prior experience working directly with drivers required
- Strong knowledge of transportation and brokerage terminology
- Experience using McLeod Software highly preferred
- Excellent multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- High attention to detail and strong organizational abilities
- High school diploma or GED required
