Aircraft on Ground (AOG) Specialist
The AOG Specialist will ensure the accurate and timely processing of all Aircraft on Ground (AOG) shipments globally, maintaining a maximum level of customer excellence through efficient execution of daily operations and precise data integrity. Responsibilities include following all applicable laws and regulations, company procedures and policies.
Responsibilities- Maintain an organized desk and manage workload prioritization while coordinating with internal and external teammates.
- Ensure all activities are completed within the guidelines set by Operational Process Standards and AIT policies.
- Monitor execution effectiveness with KPIs, operational process assessments, and workflow monitors.
- Manage Cargo Wise workflows, daily tracker spreadsheet, and overall data integrity consistently to ensure high-level execution.
- Maintain accurate and timely finances at all times.
- Partner with the Accounting team to meet expectations.
- Actively understand AIT finances, including Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, cost allocation, and revenue recognition.
- Develop and maintain customer profiles to disseminate customer expectations efficiently and accurately.
- Proactively keep customers informed of current status and activities associated with the business.
- Prioritize job-related certifications incorporated into future development plans.
- Assist in mentoring and developing peers while seeking guidance from others within the organization for mutual benefit.
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with AIT service providers and customers.
- Participate in process improvements that benefit the owning process and team members.
- Participate in weekly and monthly team meetings to voice ideas.
- Route freight with commercial airline providers, heavy cargo providers, and potential charters.
- Route, track, and investigate shipping problems.
- Assist in preparing quotes over the phone and via email.
- Communicate freight status to customers.
- Verify and update shipment information.
- Other duties and responsibilities will be assigned as business demands deem necessary.
- High School Degree or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of customer service experience.
- 1-3 years of experience in the air freight industry preferred.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook).
- Cargo Wise experience a plus.
- Strong understanding of International Air freight a plus.
- Problem‑solving abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- White Glove customer service to all customers both internally and externally.
- Team player with a strong sense of trust and cooperation among teammates.
- High attention to detail and organizational skill.
