STUDENT-Jazz Area Assistant

Job Description

Ithaca College Jazz seeks an assistant who will help the director of jazz studies in tasks such as:

• Publishing on social media

• Organizing student jam sessions

• Small jazz arranging and transposing tasks as needed for the various jazz ensembles

• Helping coordinate Jazz Ensemble sectionals

• Other tasks as needed

Requirements:

• Student must be fluent in jazz theory and harmony

• Familiar with social media

• Capable of clear and friendly communication

Pay Rate: 16.00/hour
