Step into a rewarding contract role providing essential psychological services to students in a dynamic educational setting near Ithaca, NY. You will work onsite supporting an itinerant caseload across 12 school sites, focusing on both elementary and middle school students. This full‑time opportunity runs from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, Monday through Friday, with a projected start in August 2026.
Ideal candidates are skilled professionals passionate about fostering student growth and well‑being while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. You will serve as a key resource, helping create supportive, effective learning environments.
Qualifications & Experience- Valid NY School Psychologist license (required)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Strong assessment, consultation, and counseling skills
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload across multiple school sites
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
- Commitment to ethical practice and student advocacy
- Provide comprehensive psychological assessments for students K‑8
- Deliver counseling, crisis intervention, and behavior management support
- Consult with teachers, administrators, and families to promote student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team collaborations
- Develop and implement evidence‑based interventions for individual and group needs
- Travel between assigned sites within the district as needed
