Student Employee – Division Of Advancement Student Assistant / Advancement Ambassador

This person supports the Division of Advancement by assisting the Engagement team with daily operations, alumni communications, data processing, and event preparation. As an ambassador, you would help strengthen relationships between Ithaca College and its alumni community while promoting student awareness of alumni engagement and institutional advancement. You would work collaboratively with Advancement staff and report directly to the Engagement Operations Associate, receiving project-based assignments across the division.

Responsibilities include answering the main phone line, transferring calls, and taking messages; responding to the alumni email account; providing general information to alumni; processing data in our database (training provided); coding events and creating nametags; gathering supplies for events; and other general office duties as assigned.

Office hours are Monday – Friday 9:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. with 10-15 hours a week expected.

Experience you'll gain includes professional experience, knowledge of Ithaca College, a better understanding of philanthropy & engagement, and developing transferable skills such as verbal communication, collaboration and teamwork, time management, customer service skills, and working in a database. Networking opportunities are also available.

Compensation begins at minimum pay range ($16 per hour).
