Job Description
Tutoring for the Introduction to Music Studies class (MUTH 11100) an average of 2 hours per week in the fall semester.
Hours Per Week: 2
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour
Anticipated
Work Schedule:
1 hour per day Monday/Wednesday or 1 hour per day Tuesday/Thursday for each week in the Fall 2026 semester.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding academic achievement as evidenced by GPA
- Outstanding achievement in aural skills and music theory courses, with grades of A or A- in each course taken
- Formal or informal experience teaching/tutoring music theory suggested
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work during posted hours
- Required strong experience with music technology, including facility with Canvas, Microsoft 365, Audacity, Spotify, and Muse Score
- Personal qualities conducive to one-on-one conferences, such as a friendly, approachable manner; patience; good listening abilities; and a sense of maturity and responsibility
