Job Description
Tutoring a wide range of students in music theory, an average of 4-5 hours per week during the 2026-27 academic year. Also must be able to tutor aural skills occasionally as needed.
Hours Per Week: 4-5
Pay Rate: $16.00/hour

Work Schedule:
Set hours in a static schedule; typically scheduled between 3-8pm, plus additional tutoring appointments by arrangement. During fall and spring semesters, including final exam periods.
Qualifications:
- Outstanding academic achievement as evidenced by GPA
- Outstanding achievement in aural skills and music theory courses, with grades of A or A- in each course taken
- Current enrollment in or past completion of Music Theory III and Aural Skills IV
- Formal or informal experience teaching/tutoring aural skills and music theory required
- Rising Junior preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Personal qualities conducive to one-on-one conferences, such as a friendly, approachable manner; patience; good listening abilities; and a sense of maturity and responsibility
