The Dyson School of Applied Economics and Management seeks a student-centered professional to serve as Assistant Director of Advising & Academic Accommodations. This position provides specialized advising, advocacy, and coordination of academic accommodations for students with approved accommodations, helping to ensure equitable access to the academic experience and promote student success. As the second dedicated academic accommodations role within the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, this position will partner closely with students, faculty, and campus resources to support accommodation and testing needs, facilitate effective communication, and advance inclusive practices within Dyson.

Following implementation and assessment of accommodations support models in both Nolan and Dyson, this role will also contribute valuable insight to broader discussions regarding future student support services across the college and university. This is a full-time, five-year term position with the possibility of renewal based on funding, performance, and business needs. The Charles H. Dyson School of Applied Economics & Management is a large and diverse school within the SC Johnson College of Business and is currently ranked number 3 in the Bloomberg Business Week rankings. It includes a total of over 930 undergraduates, over 2000 minors and over 120 graduate students. With over 75 faculty, nationally and internationally known scholars in economics and business disciplines.

The Office of Student Services (OSS) serves as an essential nexus between the Dyson School's students and its faculty and staff, overseeing all aspects of the student experience. The Student Services team is responsible for academic advising and student support for approximately 930 undergraduates. The Office works closely with faculty and staff colleagues in career management, diversity & inclusion and leadership programs to provide each Dyson student with an outstanding educational and developmental experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the implementation and coordination of academic accommodations for students enrolled in Dyson School courses.
• Provide individualized advising, support, guidance, and advocacy for students with approved academic accommodations.
• Consult with faculty, staff, and campus partners to facilitate accommodation processes and promote student success.
• Serve as the primary liaison between the Dyson School and university offices supporting students with disabilities and accommodation-related needs.
• Assist in the development of effective practices, resources, and support models that enhance accessibility and inclusion within the academic environment.

What We Need

• Bachelor's Degree with 2 years to 4 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
