• Location: Ithaca, NY 14850 (New York behavioral health jobs)
• Healthcare Setting: Behavioral Services Unit (20 beds)
• Assignment Length: 13 weeks (September 30, 2024 – December 30, 2024)
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts (7 AM – 7 PM), 3 shifts per week
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week
• Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $1,880 - $2,020
• Employment Type: Travel RN assignment

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in New York State or compact state
• Minimum 1 year of behavioral health or psychiatric nursing experience
• CPI or other crisis prevention certification required
• Experience with Meditech electronic health records preferred
• Ability to float to Adult and Adolescent Inpatient Behavioral Health Units as needed

• Assess and monitor patients and families with a range of behavioral and psychiatric health needs
• Identify and respond to deviations in physical, emotional, developmental, and behavioral status
• Develop and implement person-centered care plans in collaboration with patients and families
• Demonstrate clinical competence and resourcefulness in patient care delivery
• Maintain current knowledge of healthcare policies and procedures
• Provide care in a 20-bed behavioral health unit with a 6:1 patient-to-nurse ratio
• Float to additional behavioral health units as needed
