At the Statler Hotel, we are a team of hospitality professionals who proudly lead the premiere collegiate lifestyle hotel, welcoming the world to the cherished gathering place for those who love Cornell University. The hotel, with 153 rooms, is a full-service property with a conference center, three restaurants and over 16,000 square feet of meeting and banquet facilities.
The Statler Hotel is currently accepting applications for individuals interested in joining our bell team during the academic year. As members of this team, you will have the pleasure of serving as the initial point of contact for our esteemed guests. Your responsibilities will encompass extending a warm and hospitable greeting, offering assistance with luggage handling, providing valet services, ensuring convenient transportation to and from the Ithaca Tompkins airport, and providing valuable information regarding local attractions and directions.
By joining our team, you will play a pivotal role in delivering a seamless, memorable, and delightful experience for our valued guests.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Greet guests upon arrival.
- Valet park guest cars.
- Provide luggage assistance.
- Pick-up/drop-off guests at the Ithaca Airport.
- Assist guests with direction and other requests.
- Setup, fill, and breakdown lobby beverages and apples.
- Ensure outdoor porte cochere area and lobby are free of debris and look presentable.
Knowledge/Experience required:
- Possession of valid U.S. driver's license and a clean driving record.
- While not required, it is a bonus if you can drive manual transmission.
