Direct Patient Care
- Toileting, ambulating, repositioning, monitoring and recording intake and output of fluids, recording patient weight, obtaining vital signs, and reporting abnormal findings or changes in the patient's conditions to the RN;
Reinforcing education with patients; i.e. incentive spirometer use, and fall prevention;
Maintaining a clean and organized patient bedside area to ensure a safe workspace;
Intentionally rounding on each patient every hour
