RN - PACU

Preoperative / Pacu Rn

This is a 13-week contract position.

The on-call requirement includes roughly 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call within an 8-week period. Weeknight call hours are from 9 PM to 7 AM, and weekend call hours are from 7 AM to 7 AM. Regular shifts may include:

• 6 AM - 6 PM
• 7 AM - 7 PM
• 8 AM - 8 PM
• 9 AM - 9 PM

This role is for a Preoperative and Pacu Registered Nurse at a community hospital with 7 operating rooms. The hospital specializes in various areas, including Neuro, Plastics, ENT, Breast, General, Gyn, Urology, Orthopedics, Vascular, and Endoscopy.

As a Preoperative / Pacu Rn, you will provide care to patients before and after their surgical procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient recovery process. Your duties will include:

• Conducting preoperative assessments and preparing patients for surgery.
• Monitoring and managing patients in the post-anesthesia care unit (Pacu).
• Collaborating with surgical teams to ensure continuous and effective patient care.
• Educating patients and their families about recovery processes and postoperative care.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:

• Valid RN license.
• Current certifications including MMR, Fit Test, Hepatitis B, TB Test, Varicella, and Tdap.
• Completion of a physical/health statement.
• Completion of a drug screen and background check.
