Perioperative / PACU Registered Nurse (RN)

Join our dedicated team as a Perioperative / PACU Registered Nurse. You will be critical in providing patient care before and after surgical procedures in a community hospital setting equipped with 7 operating rooms and a variety of specialties including Neuro, Plastics, ENT, Breast, General, GYN, Urology, Ortho, Vascular, and Endoscopy.

This is a 13-week contract position. On-call requirement: roughly 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call in an 8-week period. Weeknight call hours are from 9 PM to 7 AM, and weekend call hours from 7 AM to 7 AM. Typical shifts may range from:

• 6 AM - 6:30 PM
• 7 AM - 7:30 PM
• 8 AM - 8:30 PM
• 9 AM - 9:30 PM

• Provide high-quality nursing care in the Preoperative and Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
• Monitor and assess patients' health status before and after surgical procedures.
• Collaborate with surgical teams and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about procedures and post-operative care.
• Maintain accurate medical records and documentation in accordance with hospital policies.

• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Previous experience in Preoperative or PACU nursing preferred.
• Current certifications including BLS and ACLS.
• Completion of required health screenings and vaccinations prior to onboarding.
