Preop / PACU Registered Nurse (RN)
This is a 13-week contract position.
Shifts may vary and can include:
- 6 a.m.
- 6 p.m. - 7 a.m.
- 7 p.m. - 8 a.m.
- 8 p.m. - 9 a.m.
- 9 p.m.
On-call requirements include approximately 3-4 weeknight calls and one 24-hour weekend call in an 8-week period. Weeknight call hours are from 9 p.m. to 7 a.m. and weekend call hours from 7 a.m. to 7 a.m.
The Preop / PACU Registered Nurse (RN) will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in the preoperative and postoperative settings. You will be responsible for assessing patient needs, planning care, implementing interventions, and evaluating patient outcomes.
- Conduct preoperative assessments and prepare patients for surgery.
- Monitor and manage patients' recovery in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU).
- Administer medications and manage pain control for postoperative patients.
- Educate patients and families regarding postoperative care and recovery.
- Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
- Previous experience in preoperative and PACU settings preferred.
