School Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced School Registered Nurse (RN) to support students in an elementary school setting in Lansing, NY. This is a great opportunity for an RN who enjoys working with children and collaborating with educators and families to promote student health and success.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and health services to elementary-aged students.
• Assess and respond to student health needs throughout the school day.
• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed and in accordance with school policies.
• Maintain accurate and confidential student health records.
• Develop and implement appropriate healthcare plans as needed.
• Respond to illnesses, injuries, and medical emergencies.
• Communicate with parents/guardians, teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers.
• Support students with chronic health conditions and other medical needs.
• Participate in school meetings and collaborate with the educational team to support student success.

Qualifications

• Active New York Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• Previous pediatric or school nursing experience preferred.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with the school team.
• Compassionate, patient, and comfortable working with elementary-aged students.
