Merchandiser, Retail

TJ Sheehan Distributing is seeking a Merchandiser to support beer and beverage sales across Central and Upstate New York. In this fast-paced wholesale environment, you will visit retail accounts to stock shelves, build displays, rotate product, place POS materials, and ensure brand standards are met. Working closely with sales and delivery teams, you'll verify orders, track inventory, and communicate store needs.

This role is physical, customer-facing, and detail-oriented, ideal for those who enjoy independent work, driving between accounts, and representing a trusted, family-owned distributor in the local community.

Responsibilities

• Visit assigned retail accounts to merchandise beer and beverage products
• Stock shelves, coolers, and backroom inventory to planogram or brand standards
• Build and maintain promotional and seasonal product displays
• Rotate stock using FIFO to ensure freshness and manage code dates
• Place, maintain, and update point-of-sale materials and signage
• Communicate with sales and delivery teams on inventory levels and store needs
• Verify delivered product, report discrepancies, and assist with basic order execution
• Maintain clean, organized product areas and adhere to safety standards
• Develop positive relationships with store managers and staff
• Complete daily documentation and reports for assigned route
