BGSF, one of the nation's leading staffing firms in Property Management, is actively seeking a dependable Apartment Maintenance Technician to join a thriving apartment community in the Ithaca area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with strong maintenance skills, painting experience, and a desire to grow within the multifamily housing industry.
What You'll Be Doing
* Perform general maintenance and repairs throughout the apartment community
* Prepare apartment homes for new residents, including painting and make-ready work
* Troubleshoot and repair basic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC issues
* Complete work orders efficiently while providing excellent customer service
* Help maintain the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the property
* Participate in an on-call rotation once fully onboarded
What We're Looking For
* Previous apartment maintenance, facilities maintenance, construction, or related experience preferred
* Strong painting skills are required
* HVAC, EPA, or other maintenance certifications are a plus, but not required
* Ability to troubleshoot and perform basic repairs independently
* Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation
* Reliable transportation and a strong work ethic
* Team player with attention to detail and pride in a job well done
