This is an excellent opportunity for long-term work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a team of shuttering carpenters, ensuring all formwork activities are carried out safely, accurately, and in line with programme and specifications.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate shuttering carpentry teams on site
Ensure works are completed to a high standard and in accordance with drawings and method statements
Conduct daily briefings, toolbox talks, and enforce safety standards
Liaise with engineers, site management and subcontractors to deliver scheduled works efficiently
Manage materials, tools, and equipment relevant to the task
Provide mentoring and on-site training to junior operatives as required
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years experience in shuttering carpentry, with previous foreman or supervisory experience essential
Blue CSCS Skilled Worker Card – NVQ Level 2 in Formwork
SSSTS or SMSTS certification (essential)
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings accurately
Safety Critical Medical
Two checkable references
Proven leadership and communication skills
