Summary of Role
The Branch Manager oversees the overall operations, staff, and sales goals of Ahli Bank's branch. This role involves managing day-to-day operations, ensuring excellent customer service, and driving the branch's performance to meet financial objectives. The Branch Manager is responsible for maintaining a productive work environment, leading a team of tellers and personal bankers, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements. Additionally, the role focuses on building strong customer relationships, promoting bank products, and contributing to the bank's growth strategy.
Key Responsibilities Branch Operations ManagementOversee all branch activities including transaction processing, account services, and customer interactions to ensure operational efficiency. Ensure compliance with bank policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, including KYC, AML standards, and audit controls.
Staff Management & DevelopmentTrain and manage branch staff, including tellers and personal bankers, providing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations to foster growth and maintain high-performance standards. Address staffing issues, resolve conflicts, and ensure a positive team culture.
Customer Service & Relationship ManagementEnsure a high level of customer satisfaction by managing customer service initiatives and resolving any escalated customer issues. Build and maintain relationships with high-value clients, providing tailored banking solutions and fostering long-term loyalty. Act as a representative of the bank in the community, engaging with local businesses and promoting the bank's presence.
Sales & Business DevelopmentDrive the branch's financial performance by setting and achieving sales targets for products such as personal loans, mortgages, and savings accounts. Lead sales initiatives by actively promoting Ahli Bank's products and services and identifying opportunities for cross‑selling. Monitor the branch's financial performance, including profitability, and take corrective actions when necessary to meet business objectives.
Risk & Security ManagementEnsure that the branch adheres to security protocols, safeguarding the bank's assets and preventing fraud. Regularly assess and mitigate operational risks within the branch, ensuring accurate reporting, auditing, and documentation in compliance with regulatory and internal policies.
Strategic Planning & ReportingDevelop and execute branch-specific strategies to grow the business, increase market share, and enhance customer service. Prepare regular reports for upper management on branch performance, customer feedback, and business growth. Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and economic factors affecting the branch.
Process Innovation, Automation & DigitalizationDrive continuous process improvement through innovative automated and digital solutions when required.
Business Control & GovernanceEnsure adherence to the bank's policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards in all operational activities.
Self‑People Development & Continuous LearningContinually update oneself through knowledge acquisition, on‑job training, or project involvement. Advocate and support others to do the same.
RequirementsBachelor's Degree.
Omani nationals only.
5 years of relevant experience in the banking industry.
