• Manage all quality assurance and quality control aspects of mechanical repairs.
• Manage tank integrity projects for tanks requiring maintenance according to API 653 regulations.
• Support portions of larger capital projects requiring new tank construction per API 650 and/or significant tank upgrades.
• Collaborate with Operations, Scheduling, and Environmental to develop a schedule for performing tank work.
• Prepare estimates, budgets, schedules, materials and contract specifications, procurement plans, and work plans for projects; track and report on project progress and performance.
• Plan, schedule, and execute tank integrity projects to meet Company standards and policies.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards for assigned projects.
• Prepare the annual sustaining capital budget and major maintenance budget for tank integrity.
• Ensure tank inspection and repairs are documented per regulatory requirements and Company standards and that they are maintained, organized, and accessible for future reference as needed.
• Provide technical support during the review of tank integrity processes and procedures to maintain consistent assessment and repair practices.
• Provide support for field maintenance technicians and operations staff.
• Maintain a high regard for personal safety as well as the safety of employees, the public, and company assets.
• Maintain and enforce the Approved Manufacturers List for materials.
• Knowledge of corrosion and welding, including GTAW and SMAW processes for structural and piping work.
• Fixed equipment inspection tasks and procedures.
• Management of NDT, with working knowledge of Ultrasonic Testing, Penetrant Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Positive Material Identification, and material hardness testing.
• Prepare detailed reports describing degradation mechanisms and their effects on process streams, etc.
• Supervise personnel, including contractors.
• R-Stamp program management.
• Maintain PCA piping specifications for all piping services throughout the mill.
• Ensure that all projects, contractors, and PCA adhere to the specifications noted above.
• Review material specifications, contractor welding and welder qualifications, and determine the required NDE to be performed to meet applicable codes and PCA specifications when fabrication occurs onsite or offsite.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

• Education and Experience:
  
  High School education with 2 years maintenance related experience.

• API 653 Tank Inspector
• AWS Certified Welding Inspector (CWI)
• Certified Level II Ultrasonic Testing (ASNT SNT-TC-1A)
• Magnetic Particle and Dye Penetrant Testing
• X-Ray film interpretation

• Starting salary range for position: $96,000 - $120,000.
• Paid vacation:
  Three (3) weeks per calendar year; pro-rata vacation during the initial year based on start date.
• Paid holidays.
