Assistant Controller

At Advance Turning & Manufacturing, Inc., we specialize in precision machining for the medical and aerospace industries, as well as other high-performance sectors. We are seeking a detail-oriented, motivated Assistant Controller to join our growing company. This role supports the organization’s financial operations by overseeing payroll processing, accounts payable, budgeting and assisting in financial reporting. This role works closely with leadership and department managers to ensure accurate financial data, maintain internal controls, and support both internal and external reporting requirements within a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Strong knowledge of payroll processing, accounts payable, and general accounting principles.
• Experience with three-way matching and internal controls.
• Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft 365.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Outstanding communication skills and ability to collaborate across departments.
• Excellent written and oral communications skills.
• Good time management skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Exercises sound judgment and discretion in handling confidential financial and personnel information.
• Communicates effectively in one-on-one and small group environments.

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Three to five years of progressive accounting experience; manufacturing environment preferred.
