They are looking to add an Accounting Clerk to their team who will play an important role in the day-to-day accounting operations. Accounting Clerk Responsibilities:
- Process weekly/biweekly payroll accurately and timely, including maintaining employee records and resolving payroll-related questions
- Process accounts payable invoices, including coding, data entry, approvals, and payment processing
- Manage accounts receivable activities, including invoicing, cash receipts, account reconciliation, and follow-up on outstanding balances
- Perform daily and monthly account reconciliations and assist with maintaining accurate general ledger records
- Assist with month-end close activities and preparation of financial reports
- Maintain organized and accurate accounting records and documentation
- Respond to vendor and customer inquiries related to invoices, payments, and account balances
- Assist with maintaining accounting schedules and supporting documentation
- Identify discrepancies and independently research and resolve issues
- Provide general accounting and administrative support to the accounting team as needed
- Take on additional responsibilities as the organization continues to grow
