purpose of positionwe are seeking solar installers to work as part of our field crew at a project in brimley, michigan on a temporary basis. This project will last approximately 3-4 months. Solar installers are responsible for the proper installation of harvest solar systems while representing the harvest solar brand. As a solar installer, you will work outside in a commercial construction setting 95 to 100% of the time.
The setting includes outdoor work, working 10‑ and 12‑hour days with exposure to construction site hazards and weather. Work is performed at the job site requiring overnight travel for periods of 5 to 7 days is required. Steel toe or composite toe shoes are required on the jobsite.
compensation: hourly pay rate starting at $21.00. Overtime is paid at time and half after 8 hours in a day, monday through sunday.
major responsibilities- maintain excellent attendance. When you are not at work, our customers and harvest’s reputation are negatively impacted.
- properly represent harvest solar through professional dress, conduct, and behavior on the site or with customers.
- follow all instructions to ensure operations are completed safely and product quality is maintained.
- work collaboratively with other installers and electricians to ensure product quality.
- participate actively in safety, quality, productivity, cost reduction and customer satisfaction.
- follow instructions from construction project managers and crew leaders.
- take apart or construct scaffolding, bracing and other temporary structures for the construction site.
- dig trenches and backfill holes to prepare for the construction site.
- access and work on roofs, including climbing and descending ladders.
- use proper safety equipment when working on roofs.
- operate equipment and machinery used in construction sites.
- load and unload building materials.
- clean the construction site by removing hazards, materials, and debris.
- assist craft workers such as carpenters or electricians with their duties, if needed.
- lay out job sites, operate equipment to bore holes or drive posts, pour concrete, fasten, level racking, mount solar panels, run wiring, and test array output.
- perform routine maintenance requirements on company‑owned equipment as directed.
- report safety incidents to your supervisor or crew leader and complete required accident reports.
- stop working on any equipment or process that you are concerned is unsafe and report your concern immediately to the project manager or crew leader.

successful candidates will have a high school diploma or ged, a valid non‑suspended driver’s license, and an interest and ability to obtain cdl certification. Candidates should be ambitious, motivated, capable of working with a team, and able to follow direction.
