About the Position
A well-established health system in  Jackson, Michigan  is seeking a  Board-Certified, Fellowship-Trained Rheumatologist  to provide adult and geriatric care on a locum tenens basis. This opportunity offers a balanced mix of outpatient clinic work and hospital-based call, supported by a collaborative care team and modern resources.

This is an excellent assignment for a rheumatologist looking for  strong compensation, flexible scheduling, and long-term stability  in a supportive clinical environment.

Position Details

Position:  Locum Rheumatologist

Pay Rate:  Competitive rates  + additional rates for 24 hr Call, Call back

Start Date:

ASAP (anticipated April start due to credentialing)

Coverage Duration:  Ongoing

Schedule & Call

Clinic

Schedule:

4 × 10-hour shifts  or  5 × 8-hour shifts

Call Requirement:

24-hour hospital call

Tuesday–Monday

2 weeks per month (1:2 call rotation)

Practice Setting

Office-based rheumatology clinic with hospital-based call

Patient Volume:

Clinic: 16–18 patients per day

Hospital: ~1 consult per day

Procedures:

Joint aspirations

Corticosteroid injections

EMR:  Epic

Trauma Level:  Level II

Support Staff:  Dedicated MA, RN, and front-desk team

Group Size:  1 Rheumatologist + full support staff

Provider Requirements

Board Certified in Rheumatology

Fellowship-trained in Rheumatology

Active Michigan license

BLS

Ability to perform joint aspirations and corticosteroid injections

Experience with Epic EMR  (Preferred)

Self-Query NPDB (pulled within 30 days at time of presentation
