Description

Teach courses in various disciplines based on instructor's qualifications. Adjunct instructor positions are part-time. Teaching assignments will vary from semester to semester and are based on enrollment; therefore, there may be semesters where no assignments are available.

Essential Functions
  • Evaluate and grade students' class work, assignments, and papers.
  • Prepare and deliver instructional materials (syllabi, homework assignments, and handouts) in person and/or online.
  • Initiate, facilitate, and moderate classroom discussions.
  • Compile, administer, and grade examinations.
  • Participate in required reporting processes (grades, participation, etc.).
  • Assist students in connecting to college resources.
Minimum Qualifications

For MFG 115, 135, 137, 150, 160, 166, 170, 172, 174, 185, 190, 240 and 262:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a technical field such as engineering, architecture, technology, manufacturing, welding, or similar.
  • Associate degree or higher with completion of a relevant certification (e.g., MSSC CPT, SACA, or similar).
  • Associate degree or higher with 3 years of documented work experience in industry.
  • Journeyman machinist or similar professional license.
  • Five years documented industrial experience relevant to the course being taught.

For MFG 211:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in any field with successful completion of FANUC Handling Tool training or similar certification.
  • Associate degree or higher in any field with successful completion of FANUC NOCTI CERT 1 or similar certification.
  • Associate degree or higher in any field with 3 years of documented experience programming FANUC Handling Tool Operations or similar.
  • Five years documented industry experience with FANUC Handling Tool or similar robotic programming software.
